Day 05 Juneau, Alaska
Day 06 Skagway, Alaska
Day 08 Seward, Alaska - 7 AM
Highlights:
Icy Strait Point is located near the city of Hoonah, the largest native Tlingit Indian settlement in Alaska. Home to a historic cannery, the port's connection to the sea is strong. Locals share the sea with humpback whales, orcas, Dall porpoises, seals, sea otters, halibut and all five species of Pacific salmon. It is not uncommon to spot a humpback or an orca while walking along the shore. Visit the historic cannery, dating back to 1930. It has been fully restored to provide visitors with a glimpse of this interesting part of Alaskan history. The original cookhouse has also been renovated for family-style dining, the Alaskan way.
Hubbard Glacier - Wonder at 1,350 square miles of translucent blue ice as you experience the excitement of seeing an active glacier up close. At 76 miles long, 7 miles wide, and 600 feet tall, this natural wonder will make even the ship feel small. Lookout for newly calved icebergs that can shoot up suddenly from below the waterline.

Highlights:
Ketchikan, Alaska - Ketchikan was built and shaped by the plethora of natural resources in its backyard: salmon and timber, mainly, but also copper, uranium, marble and other minable rocks and minerals. Several attractions highlight the industries that made Ketchikan possible. Visit a restored cannery from the 1930s and see how Ketchikan came to be known as the “Canned Salmon Capital of the World.” Or take in an old-fashioned logging competition between burly lumberjacks. The rich and entertaining history is chronicled in exhibits at the Tongass Historical Museum and at various locations throughout town
Juneau’s lively downtown is compact, easy to navigate on foot and always a favorite with visitors. Within easy walking distance of the cruise ship docks are many of Juneau’s main attractions, including the state capitol building, Saint Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, several museums and historic South Franklin Street, where turn-of-the-century buildings today are gift shops, restaurants and pubs. Also nearby is the Juneau Convention & Visitors Bureau with visitor information, displays and walking tour maps of the city. Whale watching tours are a popular way to see the diverse marine life in the area including Steller sea lions, Dall’s porpoise, killer whales and humpback whales, which return to the area each summer to feed on krill and herring. Juneau has about 60 humpbacks that frequent the area and are so commonly viewed that many tour operators offer a guaranteed sighting or your money back. For many, the best way to experience the area is the most affordable — on foot.

Highlights:
Icy Strait Point is a destination that offers unparalleled access to adventure, wilderness, wildlife, and genuine Native Tlingit hospitality. Located in Alaska’s largest Native Tlingit village of Hoonah (about 35 miles west of Juneau), Icy Strait Point features 20+ exciting tours, a restored 1912 Alaska salmon cannery and museum, nature trails, restaurants, 100% Alaskan-owned retail shops, and even a beach! Eagles soar overhead and whales are regularly seen from the shore. When you arrive at Icy Strait Point, you will immediately find yourself immersed in the Alaska that you’ve always dreamed of.
Skagway - A colorful history, scant rain and a lot of cruise ships makes a Skagway one of the most interesting and popular towns to visit in the Inside Passage. A seven-block corridor along Broadway features historic false-front shops and restaurants, wooden sidewalks, locals in period costumes and restored buildings, many of which are part of the National Park Service-managed Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. Beginning in 1897, Skagway and the nearby ghost town of Dyea was the starting place for more than 40,000 gold-rush stampeders who headed to the Yukon primarily by way of the Chilkoot Trail. National Park Service rangers lead a free, 45-minute walking tour of the historic district, stopping at historic buildings like the Mascot Saloon Museum, the first cabin built in Skagway and one of the town’s earliest brothels.
The historic White Pass & Yukon Route railroad provides tours to the top of the mountain pass north of town. Seated in parlor cars, passengers ride up the most spectacular part of the trip viewing scenery such as Glacier Gorge, Dead Horse Gulch and Bridal Veil Falls. At the top they see the White Pass at 2,885 feet, which is also the international boundary between the United States and Canada.

Highlights:
San Juan, Puerto Rico's capital and largest city, sits on the island's Atlantic coast. Its widest beach fronts the Isla Verde resort strip, known for its bars, nightclubs and casinos. Cobblestoned Old San Juan features colorful Spanish colonial buildings and 16th-century landmarks including El Morro and La Fortaleza, massive fortresses with sweeping ocean views, as well as the Paseo de la Princesa bayside promenade.
With its many museums and galleries, Old San Juan is rich with Puerto Rican art and crafts. The happening Santurce district is home to the preeminent Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico and Museo de Arte Contemporáneo. The city is known for its salsa music, as well as its food, with options from down-home joints for lechón asado (roast pork) to upscale restaurants showcasing local seafood. Beaches range from busy Condado and Ocean Park to quieter Balneario Escambrón and Piñones to the east.
Tortola is the largest of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. It features several white-sand beaches, including Cane Garden Bay and Smuggler’s Cove. Road Town, the capital of the British Virgin Islands, has a harbor dotted with sailing boats and is known as a yachting hub. In the island's southwest, forested Sage Mountain National Park offers trails and sweeping views over neighboring cays. Most of the shopping on this Caribbean island is confined to small, locally owned boutiques, but there are still a lot of treasures to be found. Main Street in Road Town has a lot of these shops, offering everything from local art to beach clothing to perfumes.
